Are there mileage limits or usage restrictions?
There are NO mileage limits, but the warranty applies only to personal use vehicles – not commercial or fleet vehicles.
What exactly does the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty cover?
It covers the major components that make your vehicle move – engine, transmission, transfer case, and drive axle. This includes internally lubricated parts as well as fluids, seals and gaskets when required in connection with a repair or replacement of a covered part.
Does the warranty cover wear and tear or just mechanical failure?
It covers mechanical failure of covered components, not normal wear and tear or cosmetic issues.
Are there any parts or systems that are excluded?
Yes. Items like electronics, cooling systems, turbochargers, and non-powertrain components are not included. The warranty focuses only on the powertrain. Your contract will provide details on exclusions and limitations.
Are there deductibles for repairs under this warranty?
No, there are no deductibles for covered repairs.
Is there any cost for the warranty or is it included in the price?
It's included at no additional charge when you purchase your new Lexus vehicle from us.
Do I have to have my vehicle repaired at this dealership?
No, although we hope you do! Repairs can be performed at our dealership or any ASE-certified repair facility in the U.S. To maintain the warranty, you must perform the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and keep your records. It's that simple.

No, this warranty is only valid for as long as you own the vehicle.
Gas Combustion/Hybrid Vehicles
Engine
Gasoline engine: all internally lubricated parts including pistons, connecting rods and rod bearings, crankshaft and main bearings, camshaft, cam chains, timing chain, gears, tensioner and guide, variable valve timing parts, rocker arms, rocker arm pivots, valves, valve seats, valve springs, valve spring retainers, valve guides, valve push rods, hydraulic valve lifters, oil pump, oil pump drive, shaft and gears. Plus, these non-internally lubricated parts: water pump, fuel pump, valve covers, oil pan, timing belt, timing chain/belt cover, engine mounts, flywheel, flex plate, harmonic balancer, belt tensioner and idler pulley(s), intake and exhaust manifolds. Factory-installed supercharger/turbocharger. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Cylinder head, engine block, and rotor housings.**
Diesel engine: all of the above parts plus diesel fuel injection pump, fuel injectors, fuel lines.
Additional hybrid parts: electric drive motor.
Transmission
Automatic transmission: all internally lubricated parts, including bands, pump, pump housing, carrier assembly, planetary gears, drums, reaction shaft and governor, valve body, servo assemblies. Plus, these non-internally lubricated parts: torque converter, transmission mount(s), oil pan. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Transmission case.**
Manual transmission: all internally lubricated parts including main shaft, center shaft, all gears, input shaft, hub assemblies, synchronizers, shift rails, shift forks, and bearings. Plus, these non-internally lubricated parts: transmission mount(s). Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Transmission case.**
Transfer Case
All internally lubricated parts contained within the transfer case. Plus, these non-internally lubricated parts: Electronic and vacuum engagement parts, four-wheel drive automatic/semi-automatic, and manually operated hub assemblies. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Transfer case housing.**
Drive Axle
All internally lubricated parts, including bearings, gears, thrust washers and spacers, limited slip posi-traction rear and front axle assemblies. Plus, the following parts: axle shafts, axle bearings, constant velocity joints and boots, universal joints and center support bearing. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Final drive housing.**
Electric Vehicles
Your warranty provides coverage for the following component parts:
EV Drive Systems/Transmission:
Electric drive motor/generator and all internal parts; electric drive motor dampener, electric drive motor mounts, and electric drive motor coolant pump. Electric drive motor case.**
Drive Axle:
All internally lubricated parts, including bearings, gears, thrust washers and spacers, limited slip posi-traction rear and front axle assemblies. Plus, the following parts: axle shafts, axle bearings, constant velocity joints and boots, universal joints and center support bearing. Seals, gaskets, and fluids.* Final drive housing.**
EV Gear Reduction/Reducer Box Transfer Case:
All internally lubricated parts, EV gear reduction/reducer box/transfer case mount, coolant pump, cover and oil pan. Gear reduction/reducer box housing and transfer case housing.**
